We have a number of exciting opportunities across a range of roles and disciplines to join our expanding Guidewire/Insurance team. As a Guidewire Business Analyst you will be responsible for participating in business requirements review meetings and working with the Product Owner to ensure that requirements for Guidewire projects are captured as user stories that are prioritized and in a ready state. Ready means that stories must be immediately actionable. The development team must be able to determine what needs to be done and the amount of work required to complete the story.

Responsibilities

• Bridge the gap between business and technical teams by working with the Product Owner to define the vision and scope of projects
• Participate in requirement review meetings and ensure user stories are ready for the development team
• Refine and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner
• Assist in quality assurance, including working with the Test Analyst and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-up meetings, retrospectives, and Proof of Concept (POC) activities
• Mentor junior Business Analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Business Analysis experience
• Familiarity with Guidewire products (Policy Center, Claim Center, Billing Center, or Digital Portal)
• Experience writing business requirements and user stories
• Knowledge of Agile/Scaled Agile Framework and SDLC processes
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for ticket and requirement management
• Business Analysis Certification (eg IIBA Certified Business Analyst)
• Cloud experience (Azure/AWS)
• Guidewire Business Analysis Certification
